Who Can Join: This expedition is open to anyone fit enough to walk on trails for several hours and handle the field challenges of the Western Ghats during the monsoon. Be prepared for leeches as they are a natural part of the rainforest experience.

Transportation: Participants with personal 4-wheelers can drive directly to the location. A 4-wheeler is required daily to reach multiple trails. For those traveling by bus, transportation costs ₹3000 per day, subject to vehicle availability. Overnight journey to Sirsi and return from Kumta is required if transportation is arranged.

What to Bring: Rain gear, umbrella, headlamp/flashlight, batteries, chargers, camera gear, waterproof covers for camera gear, leech socks, light-colored quick-dry clothes, gum boots, cap/hat, extra cash for miscellaneous expenses, personal medication, and mosquito repellent.

Itinerary:
Day 1:
Breakfast in Sirsi, drive to the resort with macro photography stops.
Lunch and relaxation at the resort.
Evening trail for Jog Night Frogs, Malabar Pit Vipers, Hump-nosed Pit Vipers, and other herps.
Late dinner at the homestay.
Day 2:
Morning herp search at a laterite rock patch.
Lunch at the homestay.
Afternoon visit to a cascade for frog and snake spotting.
Night road cruising for Cat Snakes, Wolf Snakes, Pit Vipers, and other herps.
Late-night return to the homestay.
Day 3:
Breakfast, followed by a drive to a coastal laterite plateau to search for Saw-scaled Vipers and lateritic lizards.
Potential rescue calls in Kumta.
Tour wrap-up by evening.
